Stationary Distribution to 40 schools in Gorkha

Education and Health Kit distribution to Covid 19 affected Children 2021/2022

On September 2022, Himani Trust Implemented Education and Health Kit distribution program for Covid-19 affected children in various rural community schools of Gulmi, Lamjung, Gorkha, and Manang districts in collaboration and support by the CFPA (China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation) to improve the foundational learning condition of rural community schools.

The “Panda Program” aims to assist students in strengthening and promoting quality education to children for their personality development through extracurricular activities. The distribution program was organized in close collaboration with local-level stakeholders, teachers, mother group communities, and organizations focusing on communities with limited privileges. The program chaired representatives from the local government, school principals, teachers, parents, volunteers, and representatives from donor organizations CFPA and Himani Trust.

The tool kit package is intended to prioritize educational standards, hygiene, and sanitation of children and includes essentials like a school bag, notebooks, stationery items, lunch box, water bottle, towel, face mask, and friendship card.

The overall program objective was to expand community school children’s access to educational opportunities by improving the standard of educational facilities that supports and enhances health and sanitation necessities.

The distribution program was jointly organized with CFPA, government stakeholders, and local bodies and was a success with support and coordination from the District Administration Office and District Education Administration.
