Post-Earthquake Relief Work 2015

The 2015 earthquake in Nepal was a devastating natural disaster that caused widespread destruction and loss of life. In response to the earthquake, Himani Trust launched relief efforts to provide aid and support to the affected communities. Himani Trust supported commodities worth NRs 57, 35,106 (Fifty seven lakhs thirty-five thousand one hundred and six) for the post-earthquake relief in Nepal.

Some of the prominent relief work involved in the relief work following the 2015 Nepal earthquake by Himani Trust include:

  • Distribution in Singhadevi Rural Municipality of Okhaldhunga district Included 42 pieces of corrugated zinc sheets.
  • Distribution in Manakamana Rural Municipality of Nuwakot included tarpaulin and food materials.
  • Distribution for Dhapasi Youth Club included educational materials i.e., 900 pieces of notebook, and 3600 pieces of pencils.
  • Distribution in Ghumthang Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok district included corrugated zinc sheets, solar lamps, and warm blankets to 51 households
  • Distribution in Ganeshman Singh Pratisthan included 25 bundles of corrugated zinc sheets.
  • Distribution in Shree Bhadrakali Old Age Home located in Malekhu of Dhading district included bed mattresses, warm blankets, bedsheets, curtains, wooden beds, etc. for 18 rooms of the old age home.
  • Distribution in Bhaktapur Mahalaxmisthan included warm clothes; jackets, and sanitary pads.
  • Distribution in Bhaktapur included essential hygiene materials like toothbrushes, washing soap, toothpaste, and sanitary pads.
  • Distribution in Bhaktapur included 250 kg rice sack, 250 kg dal, tarpaulin 2050 set, cooking utensils 250 sets, clothes 250 sets.
  • Distribution in Gokarneshore ward no 12 included water tanks of 1500 liters and 900 tarpaulins.
  • Distribution in Dhapakhel included30 kg rice, 5 kg dal, and 1 packet of salt to 105 households.
  • An organization named SGAA was supported with 50 sacks of rice and 200 blankets.
  • Distribution in Sindhupalchoke included 6750 kgs of rice, 300 kg of dal, 675 packs of salt, ORS 675 packs and 18 water purification bottles.
  • Distribution in Chandragiri included 120 blankets, rice 40 sacks, dal 4 sack, kwati (beans sprout soup) 4 sacks, biscuit 120 packs, wai wai  120 packs, soap 120 packs, sanitary pads 120 packs, lito 120 packs, stationary 120 packs,  and tarpaulin 10 pieces.
  • Distribution in Dadhing included 500 pieces of corrugated sheets
  • Distribution in Solukhumbu Bhatunje included 285 pieces of blanket, 300 pieces of tarpaulin
  • Distribution in Panauti included tarpaulin for 30 households.
  • Distribution in Bungamati included a Suitcase box with clothes for 400 people.
  • Distribution in baudha town planning included water tank.
  • Distribution in Dolakha Malu included 200  set of Blanket.
  • Distribution in Ugrachandi Kavre included 250 pieces of tarpaulin 250 and shawls.
  • Distribution in Nikosara Duwakot  included 30 pieces of corrugated sheet along 20 cartoon biscuits, toys for 100 kids.
  • Distribution in Sindhupalchoke Siruwari included 100 pieces of corrugated sheet.
  • Distribution in Uttarbahine Gokarna included 3000 kgs rice, 100 kgs dal,50 packets salt, 25 pieces of corrugated sheet.
  • Distribution in Gorkha Namjung included 137 pieces of tarpaulin and blanket.
  • Distribution in Okhaldhunga included 42 pieces of corrugated sheet.
  • Distribution in Nuwakot included 58 sacks of rice and  116 tarpaulin.
  • Distribution of 900 units of copies and 3600 units of pencils for the students of Dhapasi
  • Distribution Tarkeshore municipality, Kathmandu included corrugated sheets, blankets and solar torch lights to 51 earthquake-affected families.
  • Distribution of 36 bed and Dunlop,36 duvets along with doormats, carpets and curtains.
  • Distribution in Surkhet included  of tarpaulin, 500 kgs of rice, 100 stoves, 100 buckets, cooking utensils.
  • Corrugated sheet was placed in Pashupati old age home along with tables and chairs.

Distribution in Bulanilkantha  orphanage ( Asadhya Bal sudhar Samiti) included of food( 32 sacks of rice and 50 kgs of beaten rice each, 60 kg dal, 30 kgs of beans and 120 kg kwati )
