Tree Plantation 2023

Himani Trust plans to plant ten thousand trees every year. Plantation initiatives by Himani Trust is vital for environmental conservation and community development. On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s birthday planted 500 cherry blossoms on July 3rd 2023 at Dalchoki, Lalitpur which was inaugurated by the Chairperson of Himani Trust, Himani  Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah. These efforts involve planting trees in various locations, such as urban areas, rural communities, degraded forests, or areas affected by natural disasters. The benefits of such initiatives are numerous. First and foremost, tree planting helps mitigate climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Trees also provide essential ecosystem services like oxygen production, soil stabilization, water retention, and habitat creation for wildlife.

Moreover, plantation projects by Himani Trust involves local communities, providing them with information on environmental conservation, and a sense of ownership over their natural surroundings. This community involvement fosters sustainable development practices and strengthens social cohesion. Plantation projects also contribute to biodiversity conservation and the preservation of natural habitats. By restoring degraded landscapes and promoting native tree species, these initiatives help enhance ecological resilience and protect vulnerable ecosystems.

Overall, plantation efforts by Himani Trust plays a crucial role in promoting environmental sustainability, improving community livelihoods, and safeguarding the planet for future generations.
